Q: I have tons of negatives just laying around!
What can I do with them?!
A: I buy negative pages and put the negatives in the pages in a
cheap three ring binder. This has been great for me. I usually stick a
piece of paper in the negative page to identify what the negatives
are. I know Caroline at http://www.my-memories.net
has negative sleeves. Last I heard they were around $13 for a box of
50 and each sleeve holds about 7 negative strips for a full roll of
film. C-Line makes these negative pages. Q: I have digital
photos. What should I do to back them up?
A: Download Picassa from Google.
If you add your photos, you can select TOOLS - Backup PHOTOS and it will allow
you to choose which photos to backup and you can burn them right to your dvd or
cds! Q: What
glue or adhesive is your favorite to use?!
A: My
favorite is Hermafix tabs. They are easy to use and they are easy to
remove and reposition, which I do A LOT. They are more pricey than
some other glue sticks, but they are worth it. I don't really like the
idea of gluing my photos down, so these double sided adhesive tabs are
great! For glue, for adhering small things, I like the Sailor glue
pen. It is like a pen, but instead of dispensing ink, it dispenses
glue. Q: I want to try online photo printing. What
do you like?
A: I have looked into
multiple photo developing sites. My views have changed over the years.
I now use Mpix.com for getting photos developed. Most of my friends
that are photographers use this site.
Q: I love your photos. What camera / lens do you use?
A:
I actually get asked this a lot. I have the original Canon Digital rebel 300D.
They don't even make them anymore but it's comparable to the Canon Digital Rebel
XT or similar. My favorite camera lens by FAR is the Canon digital rebel 50mm
1.8 lens. I have it on my camera about 85% of the time! You can get it for about
$85.00. It's a fixed lens so it doesn't zoom but it takes the BEST photos of
people where it blurs out the background. Most of my photos in my blog are taken
with this lens.
